Single Sign On

Introduction

Users can login with their Microsoft or Google account and password – single sign-on – provided the user is already set up in Zahara with the same email address.

Setup

To use SSO, you first need to set up your users and assign permissions in the usual way. You can then set the users external authority using the field shown below:

The user’s email address, not their username, must match the equivalent value in Google or Microsoft.
The main benefit of SSO is that the user doesn’t need to maintain a password in Zahara. You can also utilise Google or Microsoft’s own 2FA process.

Mobile App

We have implemented Single Sign On for both Android and iOS platforms, so this feature can now be fully utilised in the web browser and the app.
